Album “Mosaic” does not contain any stylistic and genre experimentation or innovations. Six piano compositions  made in a traditional manner, with emphasis on melody. Track list: “Broken heart”, “Sun after rain”, “Shadows within us”, “Island of placidity”, “Still here” (piano solo) and “Nostalgia”. The title track “Broken heart” performed in sad and even tragic tones. Despite some romantic component, “Broken Heart” – it’s still a twilight zone, and dark colors are dominated here. This is the structure of our world – when cherished dreams come true, you should be ready to pay for that.

The ‘Sun after the rain” with its positive mood contrasts sharply with the previous track, creating a cheerful, bright and lighthearted mood. Positive emotional today are becoming increasingly rare, and under the pressure of daily life more and more people sink into depression periodically. Perhaps listening to this track, someone will get a piece of joy and receive positive energy.

“Shadows whitin us.” Everyone has a dark side of his soul, familiarity with which can be really creepy. Empathy and compassion often coexist with anger and hate, and not always in equal proportions. Such features of human nature most people try to hide in the depths of memory, and only uncontrollable subconscious can made them to appear. Mysterious and somber mood arising during the study of the depths of the human soul – that’s what I wanted to reflect, creating a “Shadow within us.”

You are still beautiful to me – short romantic film

There are a lot of completely different movies. Each of them has its own good points. But in the first line of the rating, I think, should be a life-affirming movie, the ones that say “Live, live, because you have not seen anything so beautiful.” Perhaps such stories have a lot of conditional and simplified but do not forget that the movie – is an art.

The first thing that struck me while watching the short romantic film “You are still beautiful to me” is that half of the movie you’re laughing uncontrollably, and during the second half of the film just crying uncontrollably. The director has mixed genres (as far as I can understand it) comedy and drama, and, despite the complexity of this task, the film turned out to be extremely harmonious and natural. Synthesized Hang

Hang synthesisAfter listening to some recordings with Hang performance of various artists, the idea to synthesize this tool appeared. To do this, I took two Subtractors (software analog-type polyphonic synthesizers based on subtractive synthesis). One of them generates tonal percussion sounds, and another simulates claps with hand on the body of Hang. In my opinion, the result is quite believable.

Percussion instrument Hang

Percussion musical instrument Hang is one of the youngest acoustic instruments to date. The creators (a group of enthusiasts from the company named Panart) for many years analyzed percussion instruments from different countries and ethnic cultures. As a result, this unique and exotic resonating percussion instrument was born.

Hang has rather interesting acoustic properties, making this musical instrument really unique. Physically Hang consists of two metal hemispheres. For the manufacture of them, the steel of a certain sort is used. One of the hemispheres has 8 tonal areas, each of which is designed to extract a specific tone. Changing the sound timbre and modulation performed by using a special hole cavity.

There are several different ways to extract audio from Hang: by base brush, palm, thumb, and fingertips. In addition to the soft hammering, causing characteristic sounds of percussion with a fast attack, it is possible to rub gently the hemisphere. The result is a lasting buzz. It is noteworthy that each area of this wonderful instrument sounds in its own way. It ultimately creates a very rich musical palette.

Most often, the player holds Hand on lap horizontally or vertically. In addition, Hang can be placed on a drum rack.

Since the invention of Hang, it was released three generations of the tool, and its development is still continuing. Panart Company offers more than 45 different versions of the instrument. Every one of them has its own musical scale.

Since Hang has a limited number of notes, musicians often play a group of 2-3 people, using Hangs with different musical scales, which are combined with each other. It makes more opportunities for expansion of the performing.
